"Very clean and quiet room. Staff was excellent, went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful! Breakfast was delicious and the staff so helpful providing excellent service and conversation. The concierge was the best I've ever had. What a jewel!"
"This was one of my favorite stays on our trip. The room was clean and the shower toiletries were very very nice. We also got breakfast at 1892 and definitely our best breakfast of the trip with Belgium waffles and eggs benedict and lovely wait staff. The staff in the lobby as well as the bell staff were super accomodating to our needs. The proximity to downtown were perfect. Everything about the location, the walkability, the property was about as good as we could wish for. The ONLY downside is we were in a first floor room facing the back yard area and staff were out loading up wagons first thing in the morning and it wasn't quiet since we were about 5 feet from them. We understand that it was necessary work so we didn't care much but wanted to provide the feedback. Would definitely stay here 100x's over though regardless!"
"My mother and I only stayed one night at this location but it was great! It's honestly such a great value because it has everything you need, is waterfront, and it's still so inexpensive. I believe if we return to the area to visit Mackinac Island, this is definitely where we'll be staying. Only two things I want to mention in case helpful for others.
1. Breakfast is in the main building BUT they do have a golf cart driving around to pick you up if you're in a further building - which is super nice!
2. Parking overnight is not free - it is $25 a night to leave your car in their lot to visit Mackinac Island. All google searches told us it was free but it seems that changed so just wanted to share. It's comparable to other locations and the ferry overnight parking so if it's more convenient for you still, go for it!"
"I drove into town with an “injured” car window and no one in town open to help, but upon checking in, the owner of Cedar Hill Lodge eased my mind and had a plan to at least prevent the coming rain from getting in overnight. The care and concern for not interrupting my trip due to unforeseen circumstances was beyond helpful and gave me the confidence that I could continue on to Mackinac Island for the day with no worries- he was quick to help me figure out where to go the next morning for service and how to navigate getting from there to the ferry and back to the lodge when we returned. Also, you can tell that the whole place is in the middle of a complete renovation but still keeping the character of the motor lodge of years gone past. The carpets and furniture were new and the beds comfortable. Plenty of parking and a shuttle to the ferry and back. Also, despite being there at the beginning of the biggest weekend of the year (local car show), it was quiet at night. Would stay here again."
"Staff was welcoming and made us feel at home. So gla that my husband and I chose the lakefront room which was clean and quiet with a gorgeous view for a good price. We also used the hot tub (also clean, quiet environment) and felt like we had the place to ourselves. What more could you ask for? "
"Bicycle Street Inn is well located relative to getting on and off the ferry. However, it is also right in the middle of the most congested spot on Main Street because of the ferry arrivals and departures as well as two of the largest bicycle rental shops all across the street in the space of 100 yards from the main entrance to the Inn. Some may like that hustle and bustle but if you are looking for a quiet hotel environment ... you may want to look elsewhere."
"We really appreciated having our bags taken there. They allowed us to use their bathroom to change before our lunch at the Grand Hotel. They also let us know our room was available early. The porter at the ferry was very friendly and helpful, but the woman working the front desk when we arrived was rude."
