"Hotel is in prime shopping areas and restaurants. It’s a block away so enough to be close but away from traffic. Such a cute area to be in. The hotel itself is really clean and staff is super friendly. They provide a light breakfast which was simple but good. We had chocolate bread, mini croissant, scrambled eggs, & pasta salad with drinks. I also like that it’s easy to check in and out. I can also talk to AI to wake me up or give me recommendations as well. The best part was the bed and blankets. They were so soft and fluffy I could melt in them."

"This hotel is in a wonderful location. Easy walk for many restaurants and tours close to the river. It's easy to catch a cab to go to other places. The staff was very friendly and informative, probably the best aspect of this hotel. The WiFi in the room was terrible. Mostly I gave up and used my cell service but I had to add more data on at a cost. The restaurant/bar wasn't available in the evenings. So, we couldn't meet in the bar for a drink before dinner. Although it's very common in the hotels we stayed in, I find it annoying that they won't come in and make your bed. I didn't want the sheets changed every day, but part of the enjoyment of being at a hotel is coming back to a bed that's made and I wasn't the one doing it. Here you could request full service or nothing. All in all I would probably stay here again because of location and staff. You should just know what you're getting."

"Hotel is right in the most action-filled areas of Kyoto, but as soon as you enter the lobby, it is peaceful. We had a party of three adults, so we booked one of the adjoining set of rooms, providing the luxury of two baths. Breakfast had good variety of Japanese and Western items, not quite as refined as other comparable hotels during our trip, but quite enjoyable. Pro tip: the coffee machine in the lobby next to the breakfast room makes better coffee than the one in the breakfast room. Overal, great visit. Would recommend."
