"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Smeraldo. We arrived before noon. The hotel offered to hold our luggage until the room was ready. Staff offered us coffee during the check in process. They gave us a map and circled the areas we were interested in. The hotel is centrally located in the historical center. Everything is in walking distance. We booked a small room and it was small. The room was clean and looked newly renovated. The bathroom was modern and luxurious. Everything about this hotel was elevated. The breakfast buffet was amazing. Hot and cold foods, fresh fruit, eggs, meats, fresh bakery, etc. They had breakfast staff that took our coffee orders. The front lobby was always manned by several friendly helpful staff. We stayed 4 nights and would not hesitate to return. "

"The staff were all superb and great to have proper hotel entrance open 24 hours. Brilliant location, very comfy beds with crisp linen. Smart entrance and bar. Quiet rooms. I would recommend and return. "

"Hotel Raphael is a wonderful hotel in a wonderful area of Rome. The service team at the hotel were very friendly and kind. We really enjoyed their roof top terrace which offer beautiful views of Rome. The dining options at the hotel are excellent. Their breakfast is very good and we enjoyed some of their restaurant dishes on their terrace. Overall, a wonderfully located hotel that was a pleasure to visit."

"Breakfast was excellent! Staff was top-notch. We were there in March but it was already warm. Unfortunately, the A/C wasn’t on yet, so it was a bit warm but we made it work opening the windows although that let in some noise. "

"Staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Because of the Rome marathon our taxi to the airport could not get to the hotel. Two porters took our luggage to the taxi for us and also guided us to the taxi. They went out of the way to make our stay memorable. "

"Our stay at Hotel l’Orologio Roma was delightful. You can’t get a better location - perfectly placed in the center to walk to all the sights (Colosseum, Pantheon, Trastevere, Vatican, Spanish Steps & Villa Borghese gardens). It’s on a busy street in a busy metropolitan city so those who worry about sound could bring earplugs or white noise, but we didn’t have any issue with noise even on the 2nd floor. Our room was beautiful, kept meticulously clean, the breakfast was wonderful in an unbeatable rooftop lounge location. All the staff we interacted with during our 5 night stay were kind, helpful & cheerful. Nothing but good things to say about this gem of a hotel."

"Vibrant hotel in a good location. Room was clean and quiet and the beds are very comfortable. The taps for hot water were fiddly to use and often quite frustrating- concept is better than the practicality- just keep a kettle for guests!! Breakfast is good though you do have to wait endlessly for coffee as someone else noted in the reviews. "
