From its action-packed boardwalk to its sandy beaches, this New Jersey town brings a modern edge to the classic seaside destination.

Dive into old-fashioned oceanfront fun in Seaside Heights. Discover why this charming town is one of the most popular destinations along the Jersey Shore.

Make the boardwalk your first stop. Packed with arcades, rides and eateries, this wooden promenade is the epicenter of Seaside Heights. Try to win a prize at a game booth or chase thrills on a ride. From family-friendly restaurants to hip clubs, there is an establishment that will fit the bill for your visit.

Hurricane Sandy caused widespread devastation in 2012, so for several years Seaside Heights went through a period of transformation. See the rebuilding efforts on Casino Pier. The storm caused the pier to collapse into the Atlantic but today it’s back and better than ever. Enjoy classic rides, such as bumper cars and go-karts. Test your nerves on the swinging SkyCoaster or the drop tower, Pirate’s Plunge.

Relax on one of the town’s public beaches for the day. Go crabbing along the shore or experience some of the state’s best swells on your surfboard. Parents can rest easy, with lifeguards on duty during the beaches’ open hours. Keep your eye seaward to glimpse dolphins and other marine animals.

During the summer, entertainment revolves around the shorefront. See free movies on the beach or join a game of beach volleyball. The small size of Seaside Heights means that most people opt to walk or bike around the community.

Take a dinner cruise along the shoreline or charter a deep-sea fishing boat from the day to experience Seaside Heights from another perspective.

Find out why Seaside Heights’ nightlife draws in record crowds with a night out. A testament to its reputation, the town was the set of popular MTV show Jersey Shore. For visitors looking for a more quiet evening, head to the Boulevard to enjoy freshly caught seafood at one of its many restaurants.

Seaside Heights in located on a narrow barrier island. Newark Liberty International Airport and Philadelphia International Airport are both about 70 miles (110 kilometers) from Seaside Heights. The destination is easily accessible by car or bus, but prepare for heavy traffic during the summer.

It's like a carnival on the beach. The city would be better served to remove the carnival and market its beautiful beaches instead.

The pier in the beach is enjoyable common not too much going on during off season which is to be expected. Seaside Heights in general looks run down, Motels look abandoned people visab under the influence of drugs and alcohol wandering the streets.
