Very luxurious hotel with a dark and cosy vibe. The room was spacious with separate toilet from the shower so it wasn’t one wet room. There was as also a bathtub. Very convenient location close to shops, restaurants, and bars. They gladly minded our luggage after we checked out. Only minor critique is some of the staff seemed a little cold.

This was our second time staying in this hotel. The first time we really liked it, but this time we stayed in the penthouse with three people and it was a bit of a mess. We paid about $125 USD for an extra person and extra bed, which was okay, but the extra bed was barely a comforter on the floor. When we asked for an another sheet or blanket to make it thicker they refused. Then we realized the blanket was dirty and they wouldn’t send another one without inspecting the old one and taking it away. We were in this hotel for about 5 days and we asked to change the sheet on the floor mat (since we were rotating floor sleeping) and they gave us such a hard time. Despite being honest and paying for the extra person, it seemed like they wanted to constantly make sure we didn’t use even a single extra item for another person. It was a bit excessive in my opinion. While I would stay here again, I would only do it with two people. Three people is too many for this hotel even in the penthouse.

Excellent hotel, very central to main Hongdae area and less than 5 minutes to walk to both Hongik University or Hapjeong subway stations. The room was absolutely perfect, staff were friendly and the location was great, really nice view over Hongdae too. Will stay again during our next trip!

Lovely hotel and very good location
Overall everything was great, no problems at all. But for my own preference, I would had preferred better lighting in the room and for the tv to actually work.

Great location and bad everything else
Great location! But that’s it. The hotel smelled of superglue from the lobby, hallway, elevator and the smell get into the room as well. We had bad headaches from it. The bathtub leaks and flood the room so we couldn’t use it at all. They only have paper cups in the room. We asked for plastic or glass or ceramic but was told those are not available. This is very non-environmentally friendly.

The hotel needs maintenance. And they need to deep clean. The room itself was dusty everytime even after the room was “cleaned” the saving grace is the location

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and nice. Even being in a busy area you couldn’t hear the noise from outside. There are several convenient stores near by and it’s not very far from bus or subway. If you need a taxi, the staff will call one for you.

Great visit to Seoul, minor issues at hotel.
Not sure how to rate as don't know whether hotel got it wrong or hotels.com got it wrong! We booked a city view but was absolutely not a city view; which was very disappointing for our first visit to Seoul. Apart from that the room was good, clean with friendly cleaning staff. Not keen on light above the door that is triggered while moving during sleep, a few rude awakenings! A few drawers or shelves for clothes would have been handy, only three hangers so lived out of cases on the floor for ten nights. Cleaners helped out with a few more hangers. Breakfast was a disaster, nothing to do with language barrier or food standard but lack of attention; no coffee or tea, no plates for the toast or no butter for the toast, empty juice pitchers, empty fruit bowl; these varied but often multiple issues at same sitting; had one young man for two days who was attentive and the difference showed. One polite guest joked about it being like "faulty towers". Was disappointed that there wasn't a lounge or bar for an evening sit down, there may be a good reason or cultural reason so forgive this one but after a hard days sightseeing and shopping, is nice to change and relax somewhere. Hotel is located in a popular student area so busy with youths on most nights but never witnessed any signs of trouble; the opposite, we found the Korean people to be extremely polite, well presented and well behaved. It was a lovely visit to a lively bustling modern city with loads to do.

Getting to the hotel is very convenient, I took the limousine airport bus no.6002 to Marigold Hotel stop and walked just 2 minutes. I was impressed that the room was so spacious, lovely bathroom area, comfortable bed and nice smell all the time. The housekeeper cleaned very well everyday throughout my 5 nights stay.

hotel was fairly near the train station and near the town area with a lot of food. overall the location was really good. the rooms were really spacious and beautiful too. want to mention that there were a staircase on the 3rd floor that i was staying on that was not very visible. the lightings were a little dim and the carpeting was dark too. i didn't see the 3 steps at all and fell down the 3 steps. thankfully i wasn't hurt at all. hotel might want to make the steps more visible for safety purposes.

We have stayed three nights in the hotel. I preferred the room was as same as the photos shown in the app but I was disappointed when I checked in to a room which was not have pictures in the apps. Besides, the room was dim and the wall was not clean enough. And there was no separate bath and toilet so the toilet cover was wet after bathing. It may a shower curtain to avoid it. However, the location is great and the staff is polite.

Very nicely designed. Just hoped there was a bit more functionality to parts of it (towel rack near sink would be nice). But overall, quite nice.
