CONS
1) Manager speaks in a very condescending tone. I've observed him doing it to other guests as well as his own staff. Creates a VERY unpleasant atmosphere/culture and I think it makes the staff themselves less friendly to guests.
2) many bed sheets have weird stains
3) they don't wash the blankets (but they wash the sheets)
4) wifi can be super slow
5) toilets washed once a day--at night often clogged/super dirty
6) There is absolutely no way this hostel deserves 3.5 stars on Expedia (at the time of this writing). I think the manager is putting up fake reviews to boost their rating.
7) the kitchen/lounge area didn't have much people at all over the course of a few weeks.
8) heating in room not turned on at all, even after asking the Manager and he assured us it would be turned on. He lied and did nothing.
PROS
1) some (not all) staff were helpful and kind: SuYeon, Rani (I forget her Korean name), YuanYue, Tracy, Ellie
2) trash emptied & toilets sprayed down once a day
3) cheap-ish (nearby hostels are a bit more expensive, but MUCH better)
4) honestly, not much else... I'm really struggling to think of more.
