"Excellent location. We walked to the hotel with luggage from the train station,10 minutes down a cool street. Used a holylfy e sim for GPS and downloaded the Taxi Go App to get back to the train station for under $8. The New Wakasa staff made the absolute best check in, you have to go to experience it. Rolled out the red carpet, made sure we were comfortable from check in to check out. Breakfast was awesome, we did 1 japanese style and 1 western style. Both great, but Japanese style was such a lovely display. You can walk to the Deer Park, walk to temples. The Onsen was super nice and we both had the room to ourselves. The rooftop terrace gave us a beautiful sunrise view. I honestly feel this was one of my best hotel experiences ever, 5 stars in my opinion. The gift shop was cool and just 3 doors down, not towards the deer park, but the other direction was a really nice cookie and sweets shop. "
