"Hotel with decent location and a very authentically Japanese onsen experience. Clean semi ryokan experience. The hotel price also includes onsen and some free snacks thereafter. Breakfast is decent with lots of varieties. However there are some restrictions the hotel enforces: e.g. shoes must be off when you enter the hotel to avoid stepping on the tatami mats. The car park is an automated car vending machine so you have to wait for your car to be delivered every time you need to use it. All in all, a good experience if you’re looking for aJapanese onsen experience."

"Thank you very much for a wonderful stay at this idyllic Ryokan in the heart of Nara forest! The service was sublime. The two hostesses who welcomed me and served my exquisite Japanese meals were wonderful. The whole unit is detached, containing as it does a spacious tatami room, where meals were served, large bedroom with two large Western-style beds, an excellent bathroom with traditional stool, bucket and shower and a very deep bath, already drawn and ready to bathe in. This room had the most delightful pine aroma. Next door was a small WC with the most hi-tech Japanese toilet one could imagine. The lid raises as soon as you approach it. It has the usual bidet functions, but with added pulse option and dryer. It self-cleans and even lights up. The staff leant me a lovely yukata and obi. The mini bar was well stocked and everything was included in the price. The amenities were out of this world. Although expensive, the experience more than justified the cost. Thank you so much for an unforgettable experience."
