“Beware where it says a 3 minute walk to the Terminal from the Motel. You can see the hotel from the Terminal but it’s on top of a steep hill. If you’re carrying cases it’s almost impossible unless you’re a young athlete. So be prepared for a $25 taxi bill to go less than a half mile and another $25 to get back to the terminal the next morning.”

“It is a beautiful resort with an equally beautiful view of Moorea. The pool and the sunsets are amazing. It is a little remote from outside restaurants and night life - a short taxi ride is required. If you’re looking for relaxation, this is definitely the place to be”

“This accommodation is a private room adjacent to the owner’s home. The location is excellent for exploring Raiatea and joining local tours. A good small grocery store is just steps away, and a large Carrefour in town is within biking distance. The room is comfortable, and the bathroom feels new, clean, and fresh. “Beautiful and unique “hobbit cabins” in far south Tahiti… two warm pools, fish ponds, amazing flowers and foliage, fantastic sunsets, great breakfast. Be aware that the bungalows are open to the elements and there may be a short uphill walk from the parking lot. Nets are provided for the beds and we didn’t have a serious issue with bugs. There are also chickens wandering the grounds, which is fun.”

“We love our stay here. It’s honestly the perfect place to stay in Moorea. The staff were so helpful and lovely. Also, it’s amazing that you can wake up and just jump to do some snorkeling. It was the best snorkeling in the entire island. We saw 3 big turtles, an octopus and so many pretty fish plus the water is so calm. Their pina colada’s were also amazing. “This hotel is very close to the port and the staff were very helpful Which is important when a large amount of passengers are checking out to get to the ship while others are checking in and having to use a very tight space for all the luggage at the front desk. But the Hotel Kon Tiki has some of the lowest rates to get a great bed in a clean facility in Papeete. But also don't expect a King's suite for a low price.
