I wanted to tell you so that you knew I cared that the reason our stay was lackluster was due to the fact, I am the chief Engineer for Omni hotels in Texas. We paid extra for the suite and it didn’t even come close to our expectations. The amenity was great. The room was spacious with potential and the view was fantastic. There were about six things going on wrong with maintenance and repair repairs. Cold side of the sink handle is about to fall off, carpet near the bed is pulled back more than an inch away from wall shower didn’t drain so you worried it would run over while you showered for a short period of time the right sink the plug stopper broke off, trying to push it down. Could not screw it back on and the toilet paper holder was about to fall off the wall and there was a hole right next to it in the wall The restaurant downstairs did a great job with the Service and the food was average quality bell, and concierge service was wonderful Front desk did a great job on arrival. Carpets on all of the elevators were incredibly stained just gave the feeling of a very worn down hotel from a maintenance standpoint. Rick Perkins 435-862-8832

Nice place to stay pre-cruise. It is an older building but is kept up pretty good. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was very good.

We PREPAID two super king rooms for a night to a cruise trip the next day. This was a family trip to celebrate my mother-in-law’s 80th birthday. To our horror, we arrived in the evening to only learned from the hotel staff that the two rooms we prepaid have been given away. The staff offered us complimentary drinks and said they would place us to their sister hotel “nearby”. We booked this hotel because it’s near the port and newly remodeled. I asked the staff to make sure the sister hotel is near and at least equal level to the rooms we booked. The staff assured us and told us to not worry. Once we arrived at the sister hotel, we suddenly realized it was the Holiday Inn Southampton-Eastleigh, around 20 mins away from Voco Southampton and into the rooms that’s almost half of the cost we paid originally. Additionally, we had to call a ride-share car the next day to take us to the port. It was significantly further away in distance and we had to bear the extra ride cost to travel to the port as well. Before you book this hotel, beware that even if you PREPAID the room(s), the hotel will still give away your room to someone else. Learn from our experience and make smart decision.

Breakfast needed fresh fruits and clean Breakfast area for the food without flies. Also the seating area was horrible. Food spilled everywhere and quite smelly. I would definitely NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. And I will never stay there again.
