Normally you can't even see the blue sky. It's usually covered by pollution and you get grey sky most of the time. This was what happened on a long weekend. This city is actually beautiful when it's not covered by smoke.
While visiting the metropolis of Jakarta I ventured into the countryside and went hiking among the beautiful rice terraces. Not sure exactly where this is, but its an hour outside the city! #hiking

The waterways around Jakarta and absolutely filthy, no other word for it. Those responsible for city infrastructure either cannot cope or do not try hard enough. You'll see people swimming in here. Look at the smart new buildings behind. What a contrast! #water
