"I recently stayed at the Trumbull and Porter Hotel and had a mixed experience. The room itself was okay—nothing special, but not terrible either. It was generally clean, though the concrete floors with area rugs weren’t ideal. The rugs in our room were noticeably stained.
The biggest issue, unfortunately, was safety. While the parking lot is gated, it is not truly secure. Our car, along with several others, was broken into overnight. This was extremely upsetting and stressful.
The staff were empathetic and kind when we reported the incident, but not particularly helpful in terms of solutions. The hotel didn’t have any proper materials to temporarily cover our broken window so we could safely drive elsewhere for repairs. We were given just a trash bag and some tape, which wasn’t sufficient given the situation.
Overall, the stay was disappointing due to the lack of security and limited support after the incident. I would be cautious about staying here, especially if you’re relying on parking your vehicle on-site."
