“We would like to recognize Preston at the front desk of the Gateway Inn for providing truly exceptional customer service that went far above and beyond his job description. After an eight-hour drive, we arrived about four hours before the 4:00 p.m. check-in time and asked if our room—or any available room—might be ready. We even offered to pay an early check-in fee. Unfortunately, the manager at the front desk barely acknowledged us, simply said our room wasn’t ready, and told us to find...

“I stayed for 4 nights and had a truck with trailer hauling my side by side and a disabled Vet asked where is could park. With that the lady showed me and I parked there. The next day there was a truck parked at the end to me no big deal I parked as close as I could and was out of the way. The manager asked me to move because I was blocking EV parking but the EV parking was on the other side 4 spots with signs when I showed them they said they could park where I was which had no signs. “Gorgeous location. So calming and relaxing. There was a yoga class on their grassy area but we only watched. The outdoor patio party was hopping, but we enjoyed the calm of the clean and comfortable room. Located right alongside Boulder Creek, there were plenty of accessible trails which we did enjoy. Early morning coffee, available in the lobby, on the grassy overlook was a great place to start the day.”

“Stayed for one night, all and all it was a nice stay. The only complaint I could make is that the showers are so small, you can’t move in them but the property was so pretty and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again.”

“Our 2 bdr unit was huge and had two balconies as well as an in unit washer-dryer with detergent provided - we enjoyed both of those features. The unit was outdated and could use a refresh but was otherwise good. The one balcony was adjacent to the transit center where buses going to Gunnison and downtown Crested Butte were standing and idling their engines which made it unpleasant to stay out there. The furniture on the balconies was dusty/dirty and not amenable to sit on either. The location is...

“The property was being rennovated so there was the typical challenges with construction and maintianing a business. Room was recently refurbished and clean but not well furnished. Perhaps this will happen later. The shower was wonderful!!! Parking was a challenge but again construction took some of the space. Room was priced fairly for the inconvenience. Manager was very friendly and helpful.”

“Loved the fact that the Alpine Lodge is literally in the middle of town and makes for super convenient walking to shops, stores, restaurants and all other fun, mountain activities. Super beautiful main ski mountain right there by the lodge too. Spectacular mountain views!”
