Hotel Franziskaner

Hotel Franziskaner

8/10 Good
"Our room, corridors, bathrooms and restaurant were spotlessly clean. Beds comfortable with spotless linens. Staff were friendly and helpful, did their best to make us comfortable. The restaurant food was delicious, fresh & homemade. Ours was a 3rd floor walk up; two of us elderly and mobile but we missed an elevator, especially for luggage. No en-suite bathroom, no air conditioning and our arrival day was in the 90s. The staff gave us their only fan and large open windows gave a through breeze. These downsides were offset by the beautiful old town location with great cafes, bars, historic sites, narrow streets, boutiques and stunning mountain views. The renowned Swiss potable water from faucets and fountains is a wonderful asset. The location is busy, noisy and interesting but quiet at night, except for the clock tower chimes! All in all a very good 2 night stay."

SCHLOSS Zermatt - CBD & Adaptogenic Spa and Sport Hotel

SCHLOSS Zermatt - CBD & Adaptogenic Spa and Sport Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"I enjoyed so much this hotel as every member of staff was kind and polite, its all facility was good and breakfast was also fine. What was the most surprising was all instruments for yoga in the room were free to use. Swim and exercise wear should be brought when you stay, since you will find yourself enjoying those activities there. I would say it is also good that the hotel is located so nearby the Zermatt station just behind the Gornergrat railway station. You can enhance your stay in Zermatt with this hotel definitely."

Hotel Parnass

Hotel Parnass

10/10 Excellent
"Perfect location from the train station, to the main street, surrounding cafés and restaurants, and most importantly, stunning view of the Matterhorn right outside of the hotel itself while you enjoy a nice cup of coffee on the front Terrace. Staff was very accommodating as I had a late check-in. It is certainly walkable from Zermatt HB station. However, I can see this walk can be challenging if you have a lot of luggage with you."
