I booked for two nights and left after one. I didnโt receive any correspondence regarding my booking, and upon arrival, was met with numerous โhotel closedโ signs. So I called the hotel (the person I spoke to on the phone was the single positive thing about my stay - they were delightful), to get information on how to access my room.
The site is obviously mid-renovation, and I donโt quite think theyโve gotten to the single โchaletsโ, as theyโre nowhere near the level of loveliness shown in the photos uploaded by the hotel, or look anywhere near as nice as the other chalets on site.
Upon opening the door, I was greeted by a stale, musty, damp smell, mixed with the smell of rotten rubbish.
The bathroom was old, tired, and had stains on the walls. I refused to shower in it.
There wasnโt a bin in the room.
And outside of the door to my room was a disgusting tin with discarded cigarette ends in it.
I didnโt even want to sleep underneath the covers of the bed, Iโd been icked out so much.
The place gives โseedy motelโ vibes. I cannot believe the money I paid for this, itโs a disgrace. The absolute worst place Iโve stayed in all my years travelling.
