“It has to be said that the house and grounds are superb and Met my desire to have my friend wake up on her 80th birthday in palatial surroundings. However I have just been informed at the end of breakfast that it is not included in my Expedia booking! There is no warning of that whatsoever and I think that it is deceitful and deceptive. ”

“Room was clean but whole floor smelt of cigarette smoke. It’s a shame because the rooms are letting down the hotel as the rest of the hotel is very nice and it could be a top spot to visit. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the grounds were stunning! Food was also great but more on the expensive side. I had the burger on the menu (£18) it did come with chips and was tasty! Good place to stay if you want a short stay but it could do with some TLC”

“We really like staying at the Feathers we have stayed here a number of times. There is everything you need. The rooms are comfortable with a lovely selection of teas, coffee, biscuits with the option of collecting fresh milk from the bar. There is an iron in the room. The bar & restaurant are good with good selection of cocktails & wine. The staff are friendly & helpful The location is good for visiting family in Hertford and travelling to London via the A10. Good value for money too”

“Friendly staff and clean, quiet room”

“This was a first visit to property and we were very satisfied with all aspects of the Marina village. Although arrived early we were allowed access to room straight away, at that time of day parking was very good. Had lunch in bar/restaurant, choices on menu very good. For anyone travelling by rail station right next to site across canal. I would definitely stay again”

“직원은 매우 친절합니다. 원래부터 알고있는 친구와 같이 친근하게 대해줍니다 또한 I fitness 와 연계되어 호텔에 체류도중 이용이 가능합니다. 아침식사역시 훌륭합니다 후회하지 않을거예요”

“A beautiful hotel, grounds and local amenities”

“A very comfortable country pub, with great food, top chef and well kept beer. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. My room was a tad small and basic but the bathroom was modern and hey this is a 16th century building and I enjoyed my stay.”

“This hotel does NOT have airport shuttle. We spent half an hour tugging heavy luggage to find shuttle stop. The man at the desk said they did everything to take the shuttle info down from web sites in vain. I want to believe him.”

“The hotel was lovely, helpful staff and amazing breakfast. Used the spa twice and in the relaxation room wet towels everywhere and empty cups . I felt that you pay for your relaxation time and it didn’t feel that way.”

“The hotel part is at the back of the Pub so very quiet. The room and bed were very comfortable and clean. Nice to stay somewhere where the decor was different to the standard hotel. We stayed there two nights and all meals were very good and served really hot. It was also nice to have the choice of different options for breakfast. The bar and restaurant are separate and really clean and nicely furnished. We have stayed in several hotels in this area during the past year and the Green Man is...

“No air-conditioning. (Just in case you need it.) A fan was supplied in the room and like the room could do with a good clean. Dresser glass top you could see the dust laying on top. Chair provided also had food remains, hair and dust from previous guests. Bed matress should have been retired many ,many guests ago. Springs digging in and undulating as lay. Bathroom was comparatively clean but also like the rest of the room very tired in appearance. Car park can be a little cramped, and can make...

“Loved this place so much. It seems to be a local hangout which was fantastic. It’s on a busy street, so expect some noise, but other than that was fantastic. Already planning my next trip back!”
