The architecture and location of this hotel are fantastic. Staff are incredibly nice. Unfortunately rooms need a refresh. Beds are quite overdue for replacement.

Amazing location and good amenities, the leisure centre and pool were welcome after big days of exploring. Some room fittings are quite old, however overall it was a lovely stay. Stirling is a wonderful town

We have stayed in the hotel several times this time there were extra payments that we included before like Parking, use of pool, etc The hotel is nice but we were in a family room and compared to the other rooms in the hotel the standard was poor. The carpet was thread bare and the bunk beds were very old and creaky so much so that our 9 year old was too scared to sleep in them. The restaurant was nice and leisure pool was also good and the location is great.

It is an old building with dated bathroom facilities. The room was comfortable and quiet. The dining area was nice, The food was excellent. The staff excellent. Withing walking distance of Sterling Castle.

Enjoyed our stay as it was conveniently situated. Some aspects of the hotel were tired and needed some attention such as the bathroom in the bedroom and the gym. Lighting was poor in the bedroom and the bed (2 x singles put together) was lopsided. Staff were friendly. The bar was quite cold so we took our drinks down to the reception area which had comfy chairs and was warmer. Needed to pay £10 a day parking as I’d booked through a third party rather than directly with the hotel. Overall however, none of these things would put me off staying here again.

The location is perfect. The hotel is an old building but has had money spent on it. We paid for half board, which worked out very good value. We got £35 towards our evening meal and a very good breakfast. My gripe with the hotel is everything is extra, parking £10 a day (we pre-booked through the company running it and it was cheaper.) The swimming pool is extra, breakfast not included in some prices too. However the food was excellent and it I would return. Staff excellent but like a lot of hotels now service for our excellent evening meal was slow.

Hotel is well situated and we had good stay and enjoyed pool. Also enjoyed both buffet breakfast/dinner in the restaurant. My companion has mobility issues and hotel is on quite a steep hill.She did manage it! Staff helpful but explation about cost of breakfast not transparent so make sure you are clear how much you are due to pay

I stayed for 3 nights while attending my sons university graduation. I loved the location of this property a quick walk away from Church of the Holyrood and Stirling Castle. The walk into the city center is 5 minutes downhill. The hotel is located in an old School house so I was fascinated by the building. There is no air conditioning in the rooms so it was a bit warm at nights but that was not unexpected. The meals in the restaurant were excellent.

We enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were helpful throughout our visit. Our family room on the third floor was spacious and offered a lovely view. The only downsides were that the decor felt a bit old-fashioned and there was no a/c, but overall, it was a good experience.
