Tired. In need of refurbishment. Reception staff were first class ....went the extra mile. Restaurant staff at breakfast were disinterested. Quality of buffet was ok but uninspiring. The Royal is a very nice hotel. The only negative it is located on a busy highway. The road noise can be a problem to light sleepers. Great location for ferry users.

Enjoyed our short stay at the Royal!

The Royal is a great place for one night stop over in Stornoway. Gordon, who works at the front desk, was lovely. The staff in the dining room were both kind and professional. Diner in the hotel restaurant was superb. Bravo! And thank you!
