Beaches looked horrible; nothing like the pictures we saw online. A friend told us the volcano eruption in the 1990's buried the nice beaches in volcanic rock and ash. We found Subic to be a huge disappointment so we canceled all our plans there and we left the same day without staying at a hotel.
