We stay here on Christmas night. We have done this every year for the past 4 years to spend family time in Taft. The rooms are always clean and comfortable and quiet.

Good jumping off point for Carrizo Plain National Monument but otherwise an ugly oil town with not much going for it.

It is a quiet little town. Everyone I met was very friendly. After the long drive to Taft, I went for a 30 minute walk close to sunset and felt safe walking streets.
