The reception was great at check in—very friendly and efficient. Our room had 1 coffee cup, but we had some with us. There were no tissues, but again, we had some in the car.

Don't stay here unless you are really hard up.

We went on a 12 day road trip. This was by far the worse hotel on the trip. We had no choice because there was a big game in Tallahassee. We got in late, and left early. We were glad to get away. We were also glad to say goodbye to the cockroaches.

Nice Place for a Nights Rest

Great trip. The front desk staff was very nice. I stayed on my way to Miami. Nice, clean, friendly place to rest your head for a night. They even have a light breakfast in the morning. Also it's right next to McDonalds.. I will stay her again on my next trip to Florida.

The hotel is extremely run down and needs to be updated. For the price of $212. a nite it was not worth the money.

Large room, very comfortable bed.

Off the beaten track, only a MacDonalds and Arby's near by so not good if you are looking for multiple food choices. Great for an overnight, very quiet even though it is right off the interstate. Older motel but well maintained. Room with king size bed was enormous. Bed was extremely comfortable.

A great pit-stop hotel.

I was moving back from Houston to Miami, and after 13 hours of driving a truck towing my car, this is exactly what I needed. Right off i-10, with a McD's and a gas station next to it. The room was clean, and everything was perfect for what it was: a pit stop and some hours of sleep before hitting the road again. Good parking for trucks.

football weekend

The hotel room was outdated, contents were antiquated and old. The walls are so thin we could hear "EVERYTHING" happening in the ADJOINING room, which we weren't aware of. The bathroom light worked intermittently, the "Continental Breakfast" was a JOKE! I wouldn't TOUCH any of what they had displayed.( sliced plain bagels, white bread, cereal in a container that dispersed it, I couldn't identify which cereal it was) We paid entirely too much for this substandard room. I would NEVER stay here again, The price gouging during football games is ridiculous!!

Comfortable, small Days Inn

Days Inn Lamont -Monticello is a small, comfortable motel with all the conveniences you would expect: cable TV, comfortable beds, large room, WI-FI. Its location is out-of-the-way on Interstate 10, but useful for a stay in Tallahassee. Its rates are raised considerably on days and weekends when Florida State plays football at home, so price must be considered in any evaluation of this motel. But all lodging in the close geographic area of Tallahassee is prohibitively expensive on home football weekends.

The only disappointment was that I had requested a roll away bed and it wasn't in the room. We arrived late at night and didn't want to go through the inconvenience of getting the bed at night.

Felt safe here. Left laptops and iPods in room.

Staff was friendly. I like that the room was affordable and had a microwave and fridge. McDonalds is right next door. Towels were new, room was clean.Shower stayed hot and had good pressure after the 3 others in my family had showered previous to myself. I'm from out of state and didn't know the area;I felt safe staying here.

One night passing through

Clean and comfortable enough. Friendly front desk staff. Breakfast shuts down at 9:00, which seems a bit early. We walked in at 8:55 and they let us eat, but had pretty much put most things away by that time. They were nice enough to offer us whatever we wanted, though. I would stay again.

My stay

The hotel had easy access to I-10, three gas stations and several restaurants. The staff was very friendly and bed was very comfortable. The room was clean but a little dated, with a old color TV that was not working very well due to color distortions. The morning breakfast provided did not stack up to others I have experienced, just coffee, tea, milk, cerial (2 types) toast and English muffin. Think you could travel into the Tallahassee area to get a better deal. All in all not too bad.

Spacious

After traveling with 2 kids on a very long vacation different hotels and motels if was so very comforting to finally have SPACE for the price. We paid a lot more in other hotels and were sooooo cramped. Everything else was good too, spacious parking spaces and everything looked really clean. Bed was comfy. Pillows were super fluffy which is great for most but too much for me. Breakfast not good but McDonalds is behind the hotel. Good value, I'll stay again. Monticello is a nuce quaint town.

It was just exactly what I was expecting at the price we paid. It was very clean. The front desk dependent was waiting on us! He was ready and did not take a long time to register and go the room.
