"It was a special treat to stay here. If you have a motorbike and want to stay out of the crowds of tam coc for part of your visit it’s an easy 25 minute ride to all points of interest there. The place is full of amazing ponds that look like a fairy tale. We spent 2 nights and were the only guests. They made us dinner both nights. The hosts were amazing. The pool is giant and deep, but was empty and being cleaned. I loved the stay and would recommend it to anyone who wants some piece and quiet...

"The room and property were stunning. The spa and pool area was such a nice perk. I had the best massage of my entire trip here! Stay here if you are looking for somewhere peaceful with local charm."

"Athena Resort is a fantastic unique hotel in Ninh Binh, the little house style accommodation feels like a home away from home and the pool facilities are expansive. The staff were fantastic including helping us to confirm details on sleeper buses we were taking to the next leg of our trip. The resort is standalone so is extremely quiet and tranquil with the small village of Tam Coc not too far away (20 min walk down a single road over the rice paddies), or a quick taxi / bike ride. Highly...

"I had a lovely time at Lavender home stay. The location is perfect, close to the lake but a little tucked away from the main strip meaning you have some privacy.
The room was spacious and tidy with a big bathroom, I didn’t get a chance to use the pool but it seemed very clean and other guests were enjoying it.
Nam, the owner, was amazing, so kind and friendly, gave great recommendations and was helpful."

"We (family of four (2 + 2 adult children)) stayed for 2 nights in June.
Location: hotel is located away from the main tourist area and so nowhere is walkable. The hotel does have bicycles free to use which we took to cycle through some rice fields to a local village (few km round trip and flat).
Rooms: large and clean. Bathrooms the same. Still with small towels - like the rest of Vietnam hotels it seems.
Pool was lovely - water warm, large towels provided and drinks available.

"We had a wonderful stay here at Tam Coc Babylon. The room was spacious and clean. It was equipped with AC and a fan, a smart TV, a fridge. Good water pressure in the bathroom. Didn’t use the tub so no comment on that.
The lady, Quynh (sounds like queen), who runs the place is so sweet! Her English isn’t good but that’s what google translate is for. She found that we were having an early departure for our tour and would likely miss breakfast. Instead, she said she could make breakfast earlier...

"If you are looking for a Four Season style hotel then this is not your spot. But if you are looking for “glamping” with gorgeous nature around then this is it. Most notably is the hot shower runs out after about 10 minutes. So this is what I mean by “glamping” But otherwise a great serene place with amazing views of Ninh Binh mountains on the backdrop. Lucas (the hotel manager) was amazing as was the rest of the workers. The fish ponds around added so much to the taste of being the nature. The dogs are friendly and often came to say hello to us. We are dog people so we enjoyed meeting them. "
"Ninh Binh is simply EPIC! We have been several times, and love this neck of the woods. Coming from Hanoi, this gem of a destination is the perfect place to rest, recharge, and listen to nature. And there is no better place to unplug than Jiva Hoa Lu Retreat and Resort. The staff are the most professional, the grounds are well kept, and the scenery is second to none. We enjoyed the spa as the treatments were world class and the therapists were so friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was surprisingly delicious, as the breakfast buffet was on point, and the dinner was spectacular. We even celebrated a birthday and the staff was particularly attentive to making sure the celebration was so special. We took part in a private tea ceremony, and I think this was one of the highlights of our stay. They offered an E-Bike private tour which we took advantage of, and it was so fun! The benefit of staying at Jiva Hoa, is that it is off the beaten path, and yet, the staff offer a buggie/golf cart shuttle to town any time that it is needed. The resort uses an app which was a cool feature to communicate with the staff for any needs. There are plenty of hotels and homestays within the Ninh Binh area, however, if you are looking for a luxury stay which will blow you away, look no further than Jiva Hoa. It is worth every VND! We will definitely be back."
"Everything stood out, the STAFF were amazing and caring people. The location close to all. The food wonderful. Room comfortable quiet and spacious and very clean. Such an accommodating staff for your every need. We highly recommend this hotel. Small, quiet, close to all, clean. Just great!"
"Huge and very comfy bed. Good shower and also amenities. Yea and coffee in room and water.
WiFi ok, perhaps a little slow but adequate for our needs.
Just down the road from Hoa Lu old town (beautiful) and Trang Un river boat rides. A tour they organised took us up the Dragon Mountain. No need to go out for dinner, the food is MUCH better here and HUGE PORTIONS!"
"The hotels' staff are polite, helpful , room (family room) are spacious & nice, international tv channels , decorations & themed walls are well designed. Clean & safe . "
