"We have mixed feelings about our stay at the Mekong Lodge. The hotel and grounds are quaint, and we got to extensively relax at the bar and by the pool, which was nice after being in loud and busy HCMC. However, the hotel is undergoing renovations, and the sounds of construction filled the air from 730am to 730pm -> not so nice if you intend to take a nap in your room, or eat lunch in the restaurant by the water. If the construction wasn't enough, then the cacaphony of roosters at 4am will...

"The property was beautifully landscaped, the service was impeccable and the cooking class was fantastic. The bahn xeo was the best I have had in Vietnam so far, and we are 2 weeks after our stay. The rest of the food was amazing! Vinh is a great host and you are in a jungle village in the middle of nowhere on the Mekong Delta. An amazing experience. As a side note, the room is basic and there is no air conditioning, but the night does cool off and there are multiple fans in the room."
