โThe whole stay was splendid. Paul is a wonderful host, a phenomenal cook, and a kind person. Our room was beautifully decorated, and the shower was a huge bonus to me. I love a piping hot shower, and detachable faucet so that I donโt have to get my hair wet or humid. Hardly any place has that! Our room did! The house has an interesting history, and I love the fragrance as you walk in. Like years of good breakfasts with bacon and coffee, nice furniture polish and books. It will be our go-to place...
โWe loved that this is a hidden gem in the mountains! The waterfall is mesmerizing! Linda and Mike prepared delicious breakfasts for us using locally sourced ingredients. This is a very peaceful retreat, and I would highly recommend it as a getaway!!โ
โIt's been bought by a development group and they seem to be renovating for more of a High Hampton or Blackberry Farm vibe. Adding a 3 story hotel and such. Hope it doesn't mean prices are going to skyrocket as Dillard House has always been a great value. Super nice staff.โ
โHotel Staff was very hospitable and helpful. Every area of the hotel; inside and the grounds were clean and kept. The room was very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying there in the future.โ
โRooms are older but they are always clean and spacious. Beds are very comfortable and TVs are new. For the money paidโฆyou wonโt be able to find another room anywhere in the area this clean and comfy.โ
โWe have stayed here before and love it. So we booked again. Helpful and friendly staff. Hot breakfast is pouched eggs and sausage along with waffles etcโฆ. Indoor pool is heated and it felt amazing even though it wax warm outside. Will stay again! โ
โThe Outpost Inn was such a wonderful stay in Highlands!
Our room was darling, well appointed with a little sitting area, fireplace and record player including some throw back records that put us in the mood. Bed/bedding was great, good shower pressure and products.
Each afternoon we would hang out in the common spaces and firepits and enjoy a glass of wine, 'smores and meeting other travelers.
The hotel is very close to town, you can walk. They also have bikes to take around.
I highly...
