"My daughter and I stayed one night. We had come to Stratford to see As You Like It at the Shakespeare theater. Everything about the hotel was wonderful! It was very conveniently located; the staff was extremely friendly and responsive. The breakfast buffet was delicious!"

"Very weird hotel to get in and out of, lots of stairs and hallways. No parking on site, you need to pay to park either across the street or further down. Unfortunately the water in the hotel wasn't working in the morning when we were there - was a big shame since I really wanted to shower. Luckily we had water bottles to brush our teeth. This of course wasn't the hotel's fault but was a big inconvenience, especially since you are paying for comfort"

"Really enjoyed our stay at The White Swan - we had a beautiful room, very comfy bed, a walk-in dresser area and a lovely bathroom that was very tidy and had been modernised in a way that still felt in-keeping with the age of the room itself. Breakfast was lovely, with a small area to help yourself to juice, toast, pastries, fruit and yoghurt, and then hot breakfasts and hot drinks on order. A really pleasant set-up, and the breakfast staff were really helpful and friendly. The staff in the hotel were well presented and really pleasant at all times, which made such a difference to our stay. The pub restaurant downstairs is nice and cozy, and isn’t too rowdy or noisy once you’re back in your room. We didn’t eat here on either of our evenings but in future we will. It’s also really well located, just a short walk to restaurants and shops, Shakespeare’s House, the river and the theatres. There was also a nice little market right over the road for the first two days of our stay, which was really nice. Really recommend!"

"Welcome at reception very friendly and staff pointed me towards a car park around the corner where I could leave the car for 2 days (£30 incidentally, so comparable with public car park rates). Room/bed comfortable, shower excellent. Breakfast menu varied and ample, and my wife's GF needs met. The location could not be better, with easy walking distance to all important Shakespeare sights, and literally opposite Shakespeare's schoolroom. Main purpose of our visit was to attend RSC production, and the theatre is only 5 minutes walk. A possible downside to this property for some is the lack of a lift...perhaps unsurprising in a 400-year old hotel, but we (both in our 70s) found 2 flights of stairs with luggage a bit of a struggle. That apart, this is a charming place to stay with bags of character and so central."

"The staff was informative and welcoming and the room was spotless with a lovely bathroom, coffee, tea, biscuits, and milk. The linens were crisp, cool, and luxurious with a comforter that was cozy and warm. Each bed had two pillows that gave me the best sleep I have had in a long time. My husband and I ordered the continental breakfast and found it very delicious and satisfying. The Greek yogurt was thick and pillowy, and the fruit was very fresh and sweet. My husband enjoyed the flavored yogurt and breakfast pastries and breads. We loved being able to help ourselves to a variety of coffee drinks and cappuccino. Restaurant staff was very attentive and gracious. The location of Hotel Indigo on Chapel Street in Stratford, makes it the perfect jumping off spot for touring Stratford Upon Avon. The hotel is a scenic, easy walk to Anne Hathaway’s cottage, across the street from the guild church, Shakespeare’s school, the alms houses, Shakespeare’s New Place and Garden and a two minute walk from the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and around the corner from Shakespeare’s birthplace."

"Beautiful hotel and grounds. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Lovely room. Wonderfully comfy bed and bedding. Good tea tray. Tv aerial wasn't working but the netflix on the tv was. Lovely bathroom. Delicious breakfast and car parking on site is a real bonus. Great location, literally opposite the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and on the edge of the town centre, ideal for restaurants and shops. Only downside was the room was very warm, even when we had heating off and a fan, but I am a very warm person."
