"This is not a hotel or a rental property. For checking in, the only message I received was a requirement to register with their site. A number is provided for texting only. Messaging the number resulted in refusal to provide check-in instructions and prompted me once again to register with their site for all visitor info and instructions. Turns out, you check yourself in at a kiosk, which sounded cool, until it repeatedly failed to make our room keys. The room has SOME of the amenities and toiletries you'd expect to find. But it seems a lot of corners have been cut. The fan in the bathroom was ..confused. Sometimes when you'd turn the lights on or off, the fan would come on for a few seconds. Not consistently and never for any longer. Hope the place doesn't mold. And the cabinets are dangerous! My boyfriend bumped against a cabinet handle in the kitchen, and when it hurt bad enough for him to yell out, pointed out how sharp they were. I didn't realize the same ones were in the bathroom until i went to turn away from the vanity and accidentally ran the top of my leg across it. It drew blood! This was a few days ago now and it has settled into a nice bruise-ringed scrape. I wasn't moving very quickly and this happened through my pajama shorts. We also couldn't use the GPS on our phones until we were at least a block from the building and our lyft driver (after having difficulty finding us) had the same issue with her navigation."

"There is just way too much going on with no addition to convenience. Not too walkable to store outlets that sell basic things like water bottles. I did not have one single enjoyable interaction with any employee. It felt “clicky” and because I did not work there, I felt alienated and unwelcome and that is the last feeling I want to have from a hotel. First bad experience with a best western property, and I use best westerns 9 times a year."

"there was no plug for my sleep apnea machine next to the bed. It was kind of weird apparently they think that the lamps function, but they don't. Those plugs are too small. Apparently nobody, but a decorators every state in that room because the light shines under the doorway landing, casting a weird glow in the microwave, glows all over everything."

"Obviously this is an old, antique property, so it is hard to compare it to some of the newer properties in the area, however it has a charm you will not find in newer places. It is filled with uniqueness from the past. The rooms are small, the bathroom smaller, but clean. The temperature was kept constant and nearly perfect and the room had a ceiling fan to help with temperature control. The only negatives were a lack of electrical outlets, incredibly uncomfortable pillows and a bathtub with questionable pipes."
