"We found our stay at the hotel a good one ,the room was very spacious and the gardens outside were exceptional , breakfast was well served and an all round pleasant stay . If I was nit picking ,the one thing that my wife complains about in most hotels that there was no light above the mirror and no ledges around it to put stuff as she gets ready"

"Great stay. Staff all amazing particularly the lady who served us at dinner, in the lovely cozy restaurant. Great food, both at dinner and really good choice for breakfast. Really good location and our room (19) had amazing views. Only criticism was a bit more attention needed to the cleanliness. While overall it was ok it was let down by the attention to detail ie edge of shower and all skirting boards in our bathroom fell a little short of what I would expect. I would however still recommend definitely worth a visit"

"We had a great stay at Ward Avenue. Breakfast was delicious and Melissa was very helpful. Two dogs were very friendly and we would definately stay again"

"Stayed at Lakeside Park Hotel and Spa and overall had an okay experience. The hotel is in a lovely, quiet location with beautiful surroundings, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was okay, but the lake-view room only had a partial view, and there was a slight unpleasant smell. The single bed was also not very comfortable. The spa was good, but the kids’ pool session was very early and only available for 1–2 hours until 8am. Breakfast choices were limited. The main issue was the lack of maintenance and cleanliness, and the lift was not working during our stay, which made getting around quite difficult. Overall, a nice property with potential, but some improvements are needed."

Visually, very well designed, boutique experience. I booked late at night after cancelled ferry and was contacted by owner immediately with information re stay."

"Very well maintained and fab to stay. We had dinner there and it was fabulous. I booked a table in advance. It was full when we were there, so would recommend booking ahead. Steak and shiraz with a peppercorn sauce. Breakfast was set out on a full table to help yourself with juices, cereal, pastry, croissants, toast and there were jams a plenty to chose, along with marmite. There were muffins and bars along with fruit basket. We were greeted and asked if wale would like tea or coffee. Staff excellent very helpful across both stays."
