“Kitchen was sparse. No coffee maker only espresso machine. We enjoyed our stay. Slept great. Papaya restaurant nearby was our favorite. Staff in Merlin restaurant below the hotel was always friendly and greeted us with a wave and smile but never came over to take our order so on three different occasions we got up and went somewhere else. Is there a cultural thing we’re missing here ?”

“I really wanted to love this place. The property itself is beautiful—lush trees, birds everywhere, and a very peaceful setting. “My wife and I stayed for 9 nights last week and couldn't believe how quiet, peaceful and lovely the place is! The beach was beautiful and private. The whole place is private! You are literally on a remote island that is off the grid! The only place to connect with the outside world is in the main clubhouse where there is satellite internet, which we didn't mind at all bc we were definitely trying to unplug. “We had an amazing stay here! The location is perfect-very easy to walk to everything, but very quiet and peaceful. Tammy was a fabulous host, helping us with everything from restaurant recommendations (which were all great!) and even driving us to one of the locations which was quite far from town and to the airport. Breakfast was delicious. Our room had everything we needed for our stay, and there is a wonderful big balcony up top with beautiful views. We loved our stay here!!”

“Beware! This hotel is not in central Bocas Town, even though that is where the Expedia map and the "View in a map" function shows the hotel to be. The hotel is actually on Isla Pastores, which is at least a 30 min boat ride from Bocas Town. The hotel is not at all convenient for the main Bocas del Toro attractions, such as snorkeling, surfing, Starfish beach, Red Frog beach, Zapatilla Islands, etc. The hotel appears to be trying to lure customers into thinking that it is centrally located....
