Second time staying in here. Very satisfied again. This is more like a real living place instead of typical hotel vibe. It has kitchen, sinks, laundry machine, like real Japanese home. I personally think that this was probably just a regular mansion but transformed to hotel later. Anyway, good location, good room, good staff, good price. Will definitely stay again
I was traveling with my small family along with my brother-in-law and mother-in-law. We were 6 (including two young children) and we booked two rooms (both with two twin beds) that included a small kitchen and washer.
What we liked about the hotel:
-Near a subway station
-Some supermarkets, shops and restaurants nearby
-Quiet area
What we liked less about the hotel:
-Somehow far from downtown Tokyo (about 20 minutes). The subway line linking the hotel to downtown Tokyo was very crowded during weekdays.
-The room booked was somehow too small to accommodate our family
-For room amenities (e.g. forks, spoons, cups for water, etc), we had to ask the reception each day.
-For unknown reasons, we have lost some items brought from home.
Excellent hotel!
A super short walk to the train station and along the way great restaurants. Under the hotel is a Lawson and a pharmacy right at the corner as you step outside. There’s also a Burger King, McDonald’s as you’re heading to the train station and a bakery right before getting into it.
We took a short walk to get the bus to take us to both Disneyland and Disney Sea.
Everything was so convenient and accessible it was unbelievable.
The staff was so great and ready to help us out and make sure we had everything we needed.
Our stay in Japan was an experience we will never forget and we are forever grateful to have been there.
Thank you so much Bay Hotel!!!!!!
Amazing property for families. Transportation is easy to access to go into Tokyo ( 40 mins ) or to the Disney ( 30 mins ). Plenty of good local restaurants and bars for adults. Multiple 711’s , Family Mart, and Lawsons in any direction. Super quite neighborhood at night and staff is super attentive at all hours of the day. Totally worth having a washing machine in your room and a walking closet to store large luggage. Looking forward to my next for sure !
Positives:
•Room was clean and the amenities were as described.
•Staff were very helpful, polite, and professional. They explained everything very well and their English was good.
•Disney parks very close and only took as 10min to get there by taxi.
•The Lawsons "konbini" at the bottom of the hotel was super convenient lol! Came in clutch a few times when we needed some items we didn't pack like laundry detergent and sunscreen. Plus the food, drinks, and feet patches to relieve the pain from all the walking.
•Great restaurants around the area!
Needs work:
•Room size is small, but this was kind of expected already.
•Room key is large and clunky. Made it a little inconvenient to travel with. They recommend leaving it at the front desk if going out all day and picking it up when you get back. Which is a different inconvenience in itself. Need to lock/unlock the room door using 2 different locks.
•TV in the room was small and only had local channels in Japanese, of course. They did have a hdmi input hanging from the bottom if you want to connect your own device.
•Wifi kept going out randomly.
•No rail/rod in the shower room to hang dry laundry. Although there is a dry setting in the fan system.
Overall, I'd still recommend this hotel based on the price, location, conveniences, and inviting staff .
After a long day of travel and three train transfers from the airport, we were absolutely thrilled to arrive at the hotel in an area with plenty of dinner options and a warm welcome from staff. A hot shower and a cozy bed were exactly what we needed—the perfect ending to a long day!
Not really. If you wanted to cook you'd need to get cooking utensils etc., however, there are so many shops, restaurants and takeaways immediately outside there is no need to cook.
