“Overall we were happy with our stay. The outside if the hotel and grounds are pretty, the food in the evening and morning was to a very high standard. We stayed in a very good sized suite, which pleasantly surprisingly had 2 bathrooms with matching showers, toilet and bath. On the whole, the staff were polite and accommodating to our requests. “We booked Hempstead House for a relaxing night away, but instead spent the evening listening to a wedding reception directly beneath our room. The loud music, guests partying in the courtyard and noise from people returning to their rooms meant we had a very poor night’s sleep. I completely understand that weddings are an important part of the hotel’s business, and I have no issue with the wedding itself.
