“There was construction on and in the building...in the middle of afternoon they started to jackhammer in the adjacent room and it went on for an hour. Staff was not helpful and nothing was offered in exchange to the disturbance Checking out there was a 260$ charge from someone on the billing they took it off when I complaint. Not to recommend- too expensive for what is offered”

“There is absolutely nothing to do on the premises. There is nothing but a garden and two eating facilities. The WiFi was good. The breakfast was the same every day.”

“Staff was the best. They went above and beyond to help us. Location was great as well.”

“If you are ok without air-conditioning, you will be beyond pleased. Beautiful surroundings and wonderful staff. Check in was very smooth. Refresh towels and drink was offered and all luggage carried to the room. Restaurant with views of Volcano and lake.........no words”

“Muy buen hotel y a buen precio”

“The property was very clean and beautiful. We felt safe there.”

“No words I can write could ever do this place justice. The views are unbelievable and the amenities in the room go above and beyond expectations! There were umbrellas, card games, a telescope for looking at the stars, an outside lounge net, a hot tub on the balcony, and even the shower had a window with an amazing view! Alex was so welcoming and friendly! He recommended the best dining spots and brought us on a night-walking tour and a guided tour of the Monteverde Hanging Bridges!”

“Is not what you see on the pictures Staff is the only thing I can say was good”

“This place was one of our favorites in Costa Rica. The views are breathtaking. The outdoor balcony with unique hammock, swing, and jacuzzi tub was our favorite place to enjoy morning coffee and their incredible breakfast! They provided cozy housecoats as well that keep you warm on the chilly mornings. Javier was amazing. So personable, thoughtful and kind. I loved all the small details put into the cabins and the cheery burst of color in the decor. The property is gorgeous and a great...

“Great breakfast in the morning. Clean hotel. You can book excursions through the hotel with ease.”

“We had a great stay at Valle Escondido. Our room was very clean and the view was great. We got to see a lot of wildlife right by the building we were in because the resort was less busy in the rainy season, and we got lucky with the weather. We really enjoyed our night hike on the trails on the property - only wish it were longer! Overall, a great stay. Food was good although variety is a bit limited in the off season.”

“Es war wunderschön, ein tropischer Garden, schönes Haus mit Balkon und liebevoll Gastgeber mit wertvollen Tipps für Aktivitäten, Essen und Shopping. Wir möchten es sehr!”

“It is difficult to put my seven days at San Rafael Ecolodge into words, because even now reflecting on this experience brings tears to my eyes. In a world that often feels rushed and disconnected, this place truly felt like heaven on earth. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed by Giovanni, Luis, and Thor, the sweetest dog imaginable. Their warmth, kindness, and sense of humor immediately made me feel at home. This is not an ordinary hotel stay—it feels more like coming home to family. As...

“Very professional and good communication via Expedia messages”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our few days at La Vida Mountain Resort and Spa. We particularly enjoyed the evenings watching spectacular thunderstorms flashing in distant skies over other valleys while there was not a drop of rain where we were. The food was consistently very good and the staff always friendly and helpful. We would definitely return.”
