Excellent Location.
We stayed just the one night and had a good experience.
Room, Staff and Breakfast very good.
No hesitation in returning in the future.
Quirky interior in a lovely old pub. It was curry night whilst we were there and we experienced a lovely three course meal for Β£20- unusual, very tasty and excellent value- would definitely recommend.
The only problem we had was Expedia told us we could book in at 15.00hrs when the hotel didn't open it's doors till 17.00hrs. Not the hotel's fault and it didn't spoil our stay. The room was lovely and the breakfast was excellent, recommend the scrambled eggs.
The Lion Inn was a last minute booking but it did not disappoint. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The food was served hot. The breakfast was cooked to order and was a great welsh breakfast. The rooms were cosy but with a boutique hotel theme. Public areas were clean there was parking available with tables outside. The village was lovely too and the location made easy access to Montgomery and Welshpool. A great base for people touring that area. Wish we could have booked for longer. We would definitely visit again and would recommend the inn to anyone in the area. They also accept dogs which is good for any owners visiting the area
Lovely pub in heart of small village. Staff really friendly and helpful. The art mirrors are a nice touch as is the decor. I understand that each room has its own theme. We had the βredβ room. See photos
Everything about the hotel was amazing loved our room was bright yellow staff were so lovely π a really sweet girl took us to our room she was so polite π food was yummy especially breakfast
The staff were lovely and the breakfasts were scrumptious, even had their evening meals on both nights, which were beautifully cooked and very generous in portions. Would stay here again.
Lovely quaint little hotel, each room is so different our room looked over a lovely olde graveyard and beautiful church, beds are so comfortable,we had such a smashing time here. Would definitely recommend π
