“Nice country pub room was clean and comfortable with ensuite. Staff are great and the pub has a nice relaxed feel with a bar area used by the locals (Friendly) with everything you want from a country pub. Restaurant area separate from the pub with a good varied menu.the food I had was great and good value for money. I will definitely stay here again if I am in the area.”

“The main thing to be said about our stay at the poltimore is that the staff really couldnt do enough for you. So attentive and lovely. The room was clean, spacious and had a stunning view of the countryside. The water sometimes ran brown, but this is probably the only negative comment to be said. Food has always been very nice here. We happily stay here again. ”

“I had a lovely stay at the Exeter Inn! Michelle and Martin gave me the warmest welcome, and the whole place felt instantly inviting. I met up with friends from Bampton for dinner, and the Festive Christmas menu was excellent — beautifully cooked and full of flavour. I stayed in the Brook bedroom, which was immaculate and thoughtfully supplied with plenty of toiletries. A genuinely delightful visit and I’d happily return. Thank you !”

“We made a last minute booking at Brambles due to an unforeseen change of plan. Alison the landlady was very friendly and helpful and the garden room was spacious and comfortable, with a good shower and breakfast. We found it by accident but would definitely book again. ”

“The Beach Hotel is a social enterprise run by the YMCA as an apprenticeship scheme. In light of this we had quite modest expectations for our stay. But these were misplaced - the hotel is spotlessly clean, and run by professional, welcoming staff. The occasion was a large family reunion, and the restaurant served us all with a good simple dinner in an efficient and timely way. Service was excellent. We had a wonderful stay; this little gem is tucked away on a quiet hillside spot, with breathtaking views of the coast and on the doorstep of lovely walks, and just a few minutes walk to the towns of Lynton & Lynmouth. “This was ideal for me. I loved it here. It was really peaceful. I couldn't hear a thing apart from the birds and the occasional sheep. I stayed for 4 days and I wished it could have been longer. There is no TV in the hut which also suits me to the ground. The wi-fi is excellent so if you do want to watch something on an I pad or tablet you will have no problem with the reception. There was a nice touch with tea making facilities and scones provided for the 4 days that I was there. I cannot...

“Traditional pub building in the middle of a village. The bar was full of local people having a good time but no noise made it through to the bedroom due to very thick walls. Nice room, clean, huge bed plenty of indirect lighting and enough power points. New en suite bathroom. Very friendly but unobtrusive staff. Excellent full English breakfast.”
