“I used The Dolphin Tavern for 1 night with my wife. The location is walking distance from Penzance Station(about 10 minutes.) However, my Google Maps App had problem with the location so it took more than that. The room was great. It might be inconvenient for some people as it does not have any elevators but it seems like only 2 floor building. So, unless you have a large luggage, it won't be a problem. However, due to the Tavern's history the water facility was quite noisy. When I flushed...

“This is an old building, so expect quirky! My room had a sloping floor. Everything was clean and comfortable. Bathroom sparkling and modern. Breakfast hot and cold options.”

“Staff were really great and welcoming. Water pressure wasn’t great but otherwise it was a lovely stay Thankyou.”

“Unusual "arty" decor. Very clean. Rooms and beds are very small. Breakfast NOT included. Staff friendly and cheerful. Good location.”

“Terrible odor in hotel and room on arrival. Our window to harbor was adjacent to our neighbors room who could see right into our room if we kept window/door open . We checked in and left immediately. Very disappointing and hotel staff did not question why we were leaving after just checking in.”

“시내랑 좀 거리가 있는것만 제외하면 모든것이 완벽한곳입니다. 특히 리셉션에 일하시는 분 천사입니다. She so lovely kindly She always has smile . she's perfact She knews What I want before I tell her . ”

“The hotel's cosy room is great for a traveller to stay with finest bed and bath.”

“What a wonderful stay we had at Walter. The house is very well maintained with lots of thoughtful little extras and decorations. Communication with the property owners worked like a charm, key was on site with a code sent to us for opening the box directly at the front door. We would love to come back, enjoyed our time at this fantastic little cottage.”

“Amazing three story cottage with excellent views. Just be aware of the requirement to pull bags up a laneway. Best before dark to find it. Very quiet area.”

“A little B&B run by a nice couple. Super convenient to the Penzance rail station. (Literally 2 minutes on foot) Great value, great breakfast. In my room the ceiling fan was a bit wonky, but otherwise no problems. I would definitely consider staying again.”

“Amazing house”

“The property was clean and presented well. It was a nice touch with the welcome basket and milk tea/coffee. There were shops/restaurants close by and about. 10 min walk to take buses/trains to other parts of Cornwall. A couple of negatives but not a big deal is that we had to buy toilet paper as we were only left with one spare roll for our 5 night stay. There were roadworks right outside the house every day for the five days.. work crews would show up with machines and start working at...

“The cottage is fine and it is in a nice location BUT the details of the cottage listed on the Expedia website and Sykes Cottages are different and misleading. Expedia shows the cottage to be within the Penzance city centre & 8 minute walk from the ferry terminal. The cottage is 8 miles (13 kms.) from the Penzance city centre. Map apps and a GPS do not recognize the exact location of the cottage. It took us a long time to find the cottage. Sykes Cottages list the cottage to have a washer (there...
