Why did you not contact us during your stay as soon as you checked in early at 1 pm ????? We are genuinely disheartened to hear about your less-than-satisfactory experience during your recent stay at Whispering Valley Cottage Retreat. We always aim to provide our guests with a comfortable and memorable stay, and it seems we missed the mark on this occasion.Upon reading your review, we wish to extend our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience you encountered. It's regrettable that the issues with cleanliness and amenities significantly impacted your stay. We want to assure you that all our linen is commercially cleaned locally, and we personally oversee the cleanliness of each cottage, including conducting open-air checks prior to guest arrivals, to ensure everything meets our high standards.During your stay, we were unaware of these concerns as we did not receive any communication from you, either through our personal text number, a visit to reception, or a phone call. We live onsite and are always ready to address any issues promptly to enhance our guests' experience. We appreciate your acknowledgment of the beautiful area and the potential of the property. We also hope you enjoyed the complimentary chocolates, fresh milk, and freshly ground coffee provided upon arrival. Regarding the bottled water, we strive to minimise our environmental impact, which is why we do not advertise free bottled water on platforms like Expedia. However, our drinking water is sourced from a natural bore and filtered through a state-of-the-art system to ensure its purity. Should you have reached out to us, we would have been more than happy to accommodate your needs.Leaving our retreat at 11pm is indeed unusual, and we are relieved to know you traveled safely, especially given the local wildlife that often crosses our roads at night.While we understand your decision not to stay with us again, we hope you find accommodation that meets your expectations in the future, offering comparable views and value. It's noteworthy that during your stay, other guests have had positive experiences, engaging with the surroundings, and even celebrating life's milestones.We are truly sorry that your experience did not reflect the wonderful essence of Whispering Valley.
