โWe loved the history of the property. Our booking was very last minute since we were let down by another hotel. The Lakeside Hotel and Spa is very clean, you can feel the warmth when you walk into the property. Overall it was a good experience. โWe loved the way the property- an old tannery- had been converted into a hotel with a lot of unique properties. Unfortunately, it had some challenges for disabled people: going up and down stairs, for example. They had a little chair lift in two places, but the wheelchair had to be carried manually up and down stairs. โStayed here with a friend in preparation for Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge. Check in very easy. Warm welcome. Very hospitable staff. We had to leave the hotel early next morning before kitchen opened but staff left us breakfast (cereals, yogurt etc) out for us which was really appreciated. Also made us sandwiches to take with us. Pub/bar and food was really good. Cosy. โ
