Beautifully decorated, handy central location, rail pass included with your room rate. Bizarre choice to add a full length window from the room into the bathroom with no way of obscuring it. Zero privacy. Found myself using the toilet by torchlight in the middle of the night so as not to wake my partner by switching on the light. No coffee machine or kettle to make tea in the room. Basic stuff that can be easily fixed, which would result in a 5* review 👍

Poor reception services

Hotel is good and location is great. Reception services are poor though. I was charged 9.50 euros for access to the gym - which would have been fine because the gym is great. The issue is reception never told me about the charge in advance - it suddenly appeared in my final bill. I also tried to do an early checkin which they didn’t allow me even with the hotel clearly not fully booked. Another traveller came by reception and got an early check in for a fee, which was never offered to me. In a nutshell, reception needs better training.

Clean room, personable staff - those that I was in contact with. Not a major surprise as the hotel is in Germany, but a refreshing change to have an openable window :) The hotel also supplied a "Combi ticket" for the local public transport, valid through the end of my stay.

The staff went above and beyond helpful.. they helped us book a private transfer to Munich for us and our 6 large American suitcases. They were wonderful! I didn't love having an open window to the bedroom part of my room. I prefer a private bathroom

Easy walk from main train station. Convenient to shopping and good restaurants. Staff was very efficient and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again

Great hotel in central location

Very well run and maintained. Despite its central location, it was quiet enough at night that we could sleep with the window tilted open (we had a room towards the inside, not on the street side) It's clear a lot of thought and effort went into renovating the building into a hotel.

Nice hotel

Nice hotel but the staff seem a bit distant, first night we didn’t need house keeping so left do not disturb on second night no one came to room, it is a nice hotel big rooms but to much clutter in room, huge shelves with strange objects like a clock that doesn’t work, would definitely stay here again.

It is really a great hotel in the center of Wuppertal. The staff is great and super friendly. The only think which is not so good is the parking situation. The hotel has only two short time parking spots which are almost all the time occupied by some local cars. A public parking garage is available but it is a little walk and cost 20 EURO per night.
