The Capitol Hotel Tokyu lived up to it’s 5 Star rating. The property and our rooms were impeccably clean. The in room amenities were great, all you really need to bring are your clothes as they have everything else in room. The restaurants were delicious and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. We loved Tokyo and The Capitol made it that much more comfortable and special. We will definitely return to Tokyo and will stay at The Capitol Hotel.

The room wasn't ready until 2:30pm which is as advertised. The pool was very out of date, cold and cluttered with cheap plastic furniture. More like a 3 Star standard. At $500 use a night there is a lot better options, we checked out and checked into the Peninsula Hotel, chalk and cheese in service, quality etc.

Property was clean and the room we got was large enough that our family of 4 didn’t feel like we were constantly in each others way or anything. Location was good. Plenty of options for food and drink. A large donqi was about a 5min walk away and a small shopping center, both right next to hop street. But if you’re planning on spending more time around shinjuku and/or shibuya it’s quite far, which unfortunately is what we did.
