perfect resort for families with young children!

This is our second stay at an El Dorado Resort and we will definitely be going back. One year ago we stayed at the El Dorado Royale, and that property had three resorts on it - beautiful, but a lot of walking. The El Dorado Maroma had a much better beach, but the property with the Royale and the Casitas had more pools. We enjoyed that this resort was smaller and had less people, but still had all the great restaurants, entertaining shows, and the staff went out of their way to get us whatever we needed. We had a wedding ceremony on the beach in Maroma, and it was beautiful! Everything was perfect - this was our favorite vacation spot yet!

This hotel is one of the better ones I have stayed in, in Mexico. I booked with Expedia, which I have done many times before, I was warmly welcomed into this large hotel complex although there was a bit of a wait to check in. Once checked in the concierge team whisked me off to my room which was very clean and tidy robes and slippers ready to wear. The hotel has an app which is simple to use an d book reservations in one of the 5 restaurants or there is the main buffet restaurant all open till 9/10 at night and then a taco bar which serves food and drink all the way through the night as well. If you are considering this complex as a family resort you should it has a main pool area, water park and 2 quiet pool areas for adults only. All the team were lovely and would do anything for you, this is a little gem in the jungle well worth a visit

His level of care, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality went far beyond anything we’ve ever experienced. He anticipated our needs before we even knew we had them and was always one step ahead. From securing many dinner reservations with ease to completely making up for a disappointing restaurant experience by arranging a complimentary Bali bed the very next day, Victor handled everything flawlessly. On top of that, he surprised us with a bottle of wine and a beautiful cheese platter waiting in our room—an incredibly thoughtful gesture. He was in constant communication and would greet us in person throughout our stay which made us feel like true VIP guests. Because of Victor, our trip felt personalized, seamless, and incredibly special. He didn’t just assist us, he elevated the entire experience. We will 100% recommend booking through Expedia if this is the level of service they provide. Victor is an absolute standout and a true asset. We really enjoyed our stay at this resort. The property is grand and expansive with lots of great restaurant options. Everything was always very clean, and the rooms were nicely renovated and comfortable. All of the staff were friendly and provided great service throughout our stay. We highly recommend this resort for families. Kids pools were great!

Staff was good, rooms were clean, food was made available except for a late night arrival. Pool temperature was colder than we expected, the gulf waters were a few degrees warmer than the pools.
