Great Location, but Several Disappointing Issues We recently stayed at the New Orleans Courtyard Hotel and Suites with a group of friends. While the location was convenient, just outside the French Quarter on Rampart Street, the overall experience left a lot to be desired. One of our friends had no hot water for the first two days of our stay, and the TVs in multiple rooms weren’t working. We booked a king room, but the bathroom was extremely small, barely large enough for two people to fit comfortably at the same time. The stairs leading to the pool were also under repair, which meant we had to walk around the hotel just to access it. A word of caution: Avoid rooms near the front of the hotel. The noise was a major issue. Staff could be heard talking loudly throughout the night and into the early morning hours, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. On a positive note, the staff was generally friendly. However, communication between employees was inconsistent, particularly regarding hotel keys. We received different information depending on whom we spoke with. Overall, the location was definitely the hotel’s strongest selling point, but the maintenance issues, noise, and inconsistent communication took away from the experience. For the price and expectations of a comfortable stay, there is plenty of room for improvement. Final Rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars.

I had an excellent stay over the Halloween weekend. The staff, the breakfast, the close proximity to the streetcar and Fresh Market made for the perfect stay. The room was clean and the prosperity seems to be well kept. I’ll definitely stay again.
