Greater Antilles Waterpark Vacations

The bathroom wasn't clean. Most of the days they just changed towels but didn't clean toilet or bathroom that all. Restaurant staff was really kind.

This is our third time staying here & we would go back again. The beach is expansive, with lots of palm trees so there's always as much sun or shade as you'd want & lounge chairs are never an issue. The staff are so friendly & accomodating. There is a wonderful variety of delicious food...(I love fish, & there was always a different selection of freshly grilled seafood everyday). Instead of lots of loud music on the beach, you'll relax to the sound of the waves, punctuated by the friendly staff offereng to deliver a cool drink. We love it!

Staff is amazing. Hands down. But the room smellt really musky, turned out the filter was mouldy, room smelt like air freshener for 2 days, then it went back to musky (our clothes smelt like our room by the end).. beer is the best at the sportsbar, everywhere else its a little water down. Again, staff amazing. I always had enough water and snacks in my room. Was very well treated. Restaurants - buffet is good, and the italian and the steak house, everything else very mediocre. The music is insanely loud at the pool and the beach, all morning and afternoon, definitely not the place to take my elderly mom, but would've been a better vibe with my boyfriend (in our 30s). Over all, I'd give it a 10/10 given the price, but I've traveled to turks and caicos and other islands at 5 star hotels and this wouldn't come close to it. And next time with my mom specifically, I would book an adults only and maybe spend a little more. I would come back here with my boyfriend, though. Next door to us was a family with young kids and we could hear them through the night.. we talked to them and it helped a bit. But hey, sunshine, unlimited drinks, and a huge variety of food, it was a great get away.

The grounds are beautiful/kept immaculate. The beach is lovely, there are lifeguards and security which is great. The food is the downfall of the resort. Breakfast is good, but the lunches and specifically dinners, are poor. The Italian restaurant isn’t really Italian, for example and much of it was inedible. The Japanese restaurant, Kyoto, they use the same utensils to cook the vegetables and all of the raw meats. They all do it, not just one station. They’re not trained nor heard about cross-contamination. This happened both nights we were there AND was happening when we were there pre-COVID. The food servers are good, keep things cleared and attention to customers is solid. The language challenge of not speaking more English affects service/food not arriving as requested/required. Our Customer Service experience was very poor. We asked repeatedly to speak to the Director - Cesar and instead got several gatekeepers. This certainly didn’t help to resolve our issue and has left a poor experience overall (the room shower drain flooded, the air conditioner wasn’t working well, we were constantly calling housekeeping for missing items - including no bedding for the family bed, no water, the safe constantly not working and more). These things take time to mess with and affect one’s stay. My mobility and my friend’s mobility are challenged. We told them at the Reception check in that we needed to be close to restaurants. We were put in the farthest building!!! Painful.
