Secrets claimed this is a "New" property, only part of the building is new and that area is reserved for their "Preferred club members". So the rest of the building has had some updates and it's OK, but not NEW. Very disappointed in their claims. Some of the staff seem to have a distinct problem with what a 'proper dress sandal is' My wife wore the same dress sandal to 6 restaurants and never had a problem. The last night of our stay a restaurant we had been to before turned us away saying her sandal wasn't up to their dress code. Very rude and not helpful at all.

The location is excellent, with beautiful views of the Caribbean Sea and easy access to the Hotel Zone. The property is well maintained, the beach is stunning, and the staff were consistently friendly, courteous, and eager to help. The rooms were comfortable, common areas were clean, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming. The all-inclusive package offered good value, and we particularly enjoyed the pools, entertainment, and the overall resort ambiance. They really keep guests engaged with various fun activities. However, a couple of areas where the hotel could improve. The biggest issue during our stay was the lack of water supply in our room one night. Despite multiple calls to the front desk, the problem was not resolved promptly, which was quite inconvenient. As vegetarians, we also found the dining options somewhat limited. While there were vegetarian dishes available, there was not enough variety, and the food labeling could be much clearer. Some dishes were not properly tagged, making it difficult to identify vegetarian-friendly choices with confidence. Despite these shortcomings, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend Sandos Cancun to travelers looking for a beachfront resort with excellent service, great views, and a relaxing vacation experience. Secrets Maroma Beach was awesome. We stayed 6 nights....every meal was great, staff was great. Room was great. Seaweed is daily battle for the all the hotels in the area. SMB did a great job of keeping our beach clean. A lot of seaweed was pushed onto the beach one night during a storm. The next day was bad, but it was clean in 24 hours. Great all inclusive.

Big resort, so many good restaurants and cafes with good food and lots of options of different type cusion.
