9.4/10 Exceptional! (2,616 reviews)
Interesting old hotel in a great location. The staff was 50/50 - front desk was great for check in, but the doorman/valet on the day we checked out was not helpful and seemed like he didn't really care about the guests. Guests were pulling cars up to the curb, Uber drivers were double parking in the street, City buses were blasting the horns at everyone....
The garbage can in the lobby by the complimentary water was overflowing with garbage on the floor. WiFi was really slow and spotty.
But by far the biggest issue was the fact that the bathroom was extremely small. My legs were under the sink, that's how small it was. Very uncomfortable.
I'm glad I tried it, but would not return.

From staff to cleanliness, everything was perfect. There was flexibility with a quiet room for my birthday celebration and treats waiting at the room. Snack bar in the rooms came in handy and the amenities smelled great. Room was super cute!

9/10 Wonderful! (1,244 reviews)
Nothing special about this place except it’s been around a long time and has history. That said, it’s been around a long time.
Not a hotel for families and a bit out of the way. They charge a non-refundable $34/day “amenities” charge. There are no amenities.
The layout of our city view room was odd, and the room had an aesthetic fireplace. It reminded me a bit of an older hotel in Pigeon Forge. My son said walking in the hallways reminded him a bit of the Shining. Not sure I’d take it that far.
If I had it to do over, I would’ve booked a room in the heart of everything. The cost would likely have been less, and the stay would’ve been much more convenient. This is just a weird hotel. And expensive. With no reason to be so.
