We spent our honeymoon at Sunset at the Palms and it was truly a peaceful and relaxing escape. The resort has a calm, intimate atmosphere, and the beach was always quiet—perfect for unwinding. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. Concierge team checked in on us almost every day to make sure we were enjoying our stay, which was much appreciated. The service overall was excellent, and the food was fresh and flavorful. Our room was clean and comfortable, with daily housekeeping available upon request. We did notice a few small bugs here and there, and we got a few bites from sand flies at night, but it wasn’t a big issue. We’re not very familiar with the tipping culture, so we hope our appreciation was still felt. With kind people, good food, and reggae music playing in the background, it was a lovely and memorable honeymoon.

The room was clean but very minimal there was no blankets only two pillows not luxury at all bare minimum as well as the amenities. Probably the worst part was pool closes at 6:00 not what I'm used to for all inclusive no room service no music. The staff was friendly and we enjoyed the scuba trip thank to Black Barie. .

The property grounds are beautiful and the private beach is small but perfect. The rooms are a bit outdated but still nice. The TV is old though and didn’t work. The pool closes at 7 which was disappointing. Everyone was so kind though and so helpful! Thank you Romario and Toni for leading such fun activities! Super kind staff :)

The Riu tropical is a beautiful property with tons of amenities for everyone of all ages. The rooms were clean and well stocked each day with water etc. There are several places to eat on the property (just mk sure you mk your reswevations ahead if time cause they book fast). There are a few bars, coffee shop etc and a jerk hut on the beach. The entertainment each day was great. There are 3 pools, 1 with a swim up bar. The beach had pleny of chairs. The staff was exceptional and very welcoming and helpful. You book excursions right at the hotel. The only issue we had was that a fire alarm went off twice with an announcement to stay in place while being investigated. I work in commercial property management so I understand the stay in place but there was never a follow-up to give an all clear or even an explanation. There should always be an all clear or next step announcement. Other than that the property was perfect and we will return.
