"I have this place a two star review because it had a clean room, clean lobby and good location across from three restaurants. What was not mentioned in the brochure was that the rooms of the lower floor are extremely noisy due to how near they are to the lobby, kitchen and elevators. Our room in particular was also flanked by outside AC compressors that would turn on and off independently and we could clearly hear them adding to the noise. Another annoying fact was that we had to ask the front desk to help us with the television remote control was not fully compatible to that television and had to be turned on and off manually as well as search for the Source. The front desk did come and help us with that but what I thought was awkward what is that? It was treated as normal. Another annoying fact was that they charge five dollars for parking? Why am I being charged for parking? This isn’t a resort or a resort fee. I’m in the middle of the woods? Does my room not cover parking? At the end of it all I could’ve dealt with it except for the noise. Our AC was very antiquated as well and I tried to turn on the fan to run continuously so I has to drown out the combined noise from the hall, but It couldn’t do that and when it did turn on and off, it was annoyingly loud."

"Staff was great! From the valet to the cleaning team, everyone was helpful! The only thing was this Graduate is a bit run down. Paint splashes on bathroom floor, towels that are a bit old. Elevators broken or scratched up. I have been to the Graduate in other cities and they were a bit more polished still. Also, my 84 year old mom had to leave her room at 1 am bc the fire alarm was going off! No fire, no one knowing what was going on."

"Booked the room with Hotels.com and after finding my reservation the staff at the check in desk called the manager who instructed her to cancel my reservation. He instructed her to cancel the reservation because he didn’t want to honor the discount which the site offers for the hotel room. Neither Hotels.com or Motel 6 has issued me a refund so I guess I’m just out $90.00. I won’t be booking the Motel 6 in Petersburg, VA ever again. "
