"Very pleasant stay. Busy yet quiet, large room with recently refurbished bathroom. Lovely grounds, good service. Felt very at ease. Bed a bit firm for me."

"A beautiful entrance as you drive up to the hotel. Loads of parking spaces. The receptionist was very polite & efficient when booking us in. The rooms were tidy/clean well kept. The bed was confortable, the pillows were to die for. Loved our evening meal, great choices, & flavoursome. The grounds were picturesque & loved the wild life/nature. Perfect for a stroll. Only negative was the loudness of doors banging shut. Otherwise I give this hotel 4stars "

"Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. I stayed in the Mansion House which had a lovely rustic feel but was also very clean and modern. The whole site had a lovely feel and the other building with the pool etc looked very modern and also had some nice cosy seating areas. We didn't use any facilities but had a look around and everything looked brand new! Would love to stay here again. "

"The place was nice, but very hot, wish we knew we could have had brunch outside because the bar was too warm. the rooms were very hot, we were given fans, but it made very little difference. Bar area in the evening was very warm. Spa was great, food and service was good."

"A lovely overnight stay. Everything was above my expectations for the price! Definitely recommend. "

"Clean room with ensuite. Bed very comfortable, with only one pillow was included per person. USB socket for charging by bed, along with a double plug. Only downside was that the mirror was in the bathroom and the plug for the hair dryer the other side of the bed."

"A great deal of the hotel as been refurbished and the rest is underway. The lounge, bar and restaurant are nice, as was our room. Excellent full English breakfast for me and vegetarian breakfast for my wife. "

"A bit tired in places but decent room/value, staff helpful and we thought bar prices were high for the area. "

"This was a great find for us, the place on the whole was quiet and picturesque. Staff and service was excellent and we would overall stay again if we were in the area. The breakfast had all components that you could want/need from continental to a cooked breakfast. Hot drinks machine throughout the day included in your stay as well as a gym, huge free car park and free WiFi. The hotel is within walking distance of the little village and there are a good number of restaurants and pubs for food...

"At 9:16 in the morning, staff knocked my door and asked to check out. Then asked further: “when you check out?” I thought I was packing and nearly done (I left around 9:40), but having stayed so many over 200 hotels, this is the first time I have the stars knock on the door ask to check out, at 9:16am. "

"Clean room and a great breakfast. Didn’t like that a cheap rate meant you had to drag your bag a long distance up and down stairs. No elevator. Otherwise happy."
