“the staff on the phone was most unhelpful when I asked where we were supposed to park as the hotel is on the road...we had to drive round 3 times with no directions until we happened upon an unobvious carpark......the staff were slow to greet us, only when I greeted them first ( as in hello on arrival and good morning at breakfast)...such a pity ...but the waited at dinner was brilliant (surname Morgan) funny and kind....”

“Great traditional hotel perfect for a local running event. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely evening meal at the on site restaurant (recommend the passion fruit posset) and the hotel kindly let me have an early breakfast. Only a couple of minor issues with road noise and light coming in from the side of curtain but this is just an observation - I am a light sleeper - and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Recommend and I will be returning! Thank you!”

“Perfectly situated close to the city centre, there’s a car park and you can walk to most of the city’s attractions. Our room was on the first floor and had a balcony overlooking the garden. It was comfortable and had pretty much everything you needed. The breakfast was excellent with fresh local produce. The pub has a good selection of beers and a good restaurant.
