“You booked the hotel solely for the waterslide. We arrived early driving from far away so that we could use the waterslide only to find out that all of the lifeguards had called in “sick”. One of the staff members indicated that having teenage lifeguards this is sometimes what happens. So that should be advertised as we wasted extra money on a pool and a waterslide that was nonfunctional and wasted our time getting there as well. “The Donald Gordon Hotel in Kingston was fantastic. Housed in a beautiful historic building that was originally a private residence, it has operated as a hotel since, I believe, the 1980s. While the rooms are traditional hotel rooms, they are exceptionally well appointed, and the beds are very comfortable. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay.
