“Our flight got cancelled at Airport and Windward Passage was there to save the day. Rooms were simple, yet clean. Staff was very caring and although the neighborhood was decent, the property was helpful. ”

Staff were very courteous and accommodating, even as they were at work during a Cat 5 instead of at home with their families. Parts of the island flooded and were without power, but the Emerald Beach Resort had a generator and felt very safe. “I really liked this place and I am pretty picky. The island has lots of elevation differences. So as usual, you will climb some steps to get to rooms. Nothing unusual but if it is a problem then this place (and most others) could be a challenge. To me it’s worth it. Cool island vibe and eco conscious. Proprietor is a fountain of knowledge and advice. Treats you fairly. Definitely will stay again!!! ”
