"This property was very cute and the room was quant and tidy. It was a short (~10 minute) walk from the train stop, which was nice to get away from all the tourists. The breakfast had good selection. One downside is that the other guests were a bit loud at night and we could hear them. "

"Hotel Excelsior was a very nice hotel in a very great location in Zermatt. The room was clean and modern the shower was amazing and while a small room it was very comfortable and included a balcony. There was a great view from the balcony and everything was perfect including the breakfast which was a very nice spread a very good clean food."

They gave good inside information on snow conditions and skiing options. Also provided list of dining recommendations. Highly recommend staying here!!"

"We had 2 nights here and the stay was amazing. We had a free upgrade to deluxe room and it was so spacious and clean. Love their breakfast esp the diy stations! Only thing was the wifi was on and off breaking."

"A family run hotel with terrific views of the Matterhorn. Electric shuttle picked us up and dropped us off at the train station on arrival/departure. A free local bus allowed access to downtown but service ended at about 7:30PM and the walk back would be pretty uphill and take half an hour. Alternatively taxis are available but we were told they can be quite expensive. We were able to ski out and ski most of the way back. Beginner skiers would struggle to do so.
